Yahoo! Research Barcelona Has Moved

Researchers and staff at Yahoo! Research Barcelona packed up their belongings and relocated their office a short distance away to the 22@Barcelona District, also known as the Innovation District. Many tech companies have set up house in this area, further enhancing Barcelona’s reputation as a major business hub of Spain and Southern Europe.

The new address will be:

Avinguda Diagonal 177, 8th Floor
08018 Barcelona
Catalunya (Spain)

Ricardo Baeza-Yates will continue to lead the team in Barcelona, focusing on Web search and mining. “We are all very excited to move to our new location,” said Baeza-Yates. “We’ll be able to retain the informal, collaborative atmosphere we had before, in a district that closely resembles Silicon Valley.”

The new space is open and bright with floor to ceiling windows surrounding the work spaces, providing a comfortable, uncluttered and friendly atmosphere for the team.
